Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the pedestrian implementation navigation: principles and guidelines for designing and adaptation of pedestrian walkways in cities and its importance for compatibility with pedestrian in urban streets. In this research, descriptive and library research methods were used. To collect data, reference sources, articles, and methods used in appropriate implementation of pedestrian walkways in cities were used. Then, by analyzing and studying these resources, principles and guidelines for designing and adaptation of pedestrian walkways in cities were obtained. The results of this research show that the adaptation of pedestrian walkways in cities can lead to improvements in physical activity, quality of life, reduction of transportation and urban parking problems, increase in green space, reduction of urban inflation, reduction of air pollution and urban traffic, improvement of citizens' health, and improvement of mood and mental health. Therefore, appropriate implementation of pedestrian walkways in cities for compatibility with pedestrian in urban streets is very important and leads to improvements in the quality of life of citizens. The purpose of this article is to examine the benefits of pedestrian walkways in cities and how appropriate design of pedestrian walkways can help improve the quality of life of citizens, reduce transportation and urban parking problems, increase green space, reduce urban inflation, reduce air pollution and urban traffic, improve citizens' health, and improve mood and mental health. Given that pedestrian walkways are recognized as a healthy and sustainable mode of transportation in cities, appropriate design and implementation of pedestrian walkways in cities is crucial for the growth and development of cities.
